Babanango is a brand new, remarkable rewilding initiative that has resulted in a huge “big-5” private game reserve in the heart of Zululand, jointly owned by the local community.
The scenery is superb, and the wildlife sightings are excellent. Lekkerwater, situated on an exclusive concession in the heart of De Hoop Nature Reserve, provides jaw-dropping ocean views and untouched beaches as well expertly guided forays into the unique and fascinating fynbos ecology, the hugely biodiverse intertidal zone as well as what are currently some of the most exciting paleo-archaeological sites in terms of the emergence of human consciousness.

THONGA BEACH
Thonga Beach Lodge is a slice of tropical paradise hidden in a lush forest on an Indian Ocean Beach and inside a protected world heritage site. There is no other development within a 160 mile length of the beach, making this a truly isolated location.

But amongst wildlife enthusiasts it is also recognized for incredible safari options and the best guiding on the continent. We have designed two options, each of which will allow you to visit The Victoria Falls plus one of Zimbabwe’s iconic safari destinations:
VICTORIA FALLS AND HWANGE
As one of The Natural Wonders of the World, the Victoria Falls needs little introduction. It is one of the largest waterfalls in the world, with a width along its lip of 1708 metres. In addition to visiting the Victoria Falls themselves, the town is an adventure hub offering a plethora of activities.
Hwange National Park is the largest National Park in the country with an astounding biodiversity. It is easily accessed from Victoria Falls and provides excellent game viewing. Nantwich lodge is one of the closest Hwange-lodges to Victoria Falls. This luxurious eco-lodge is perched atop a hill with sweeping views of the surrounding plains and a large dam which acts as a magnet for wildlife during the dry season.

Mana Pools National Park is part of a UNESCO world heritage site, based partly upon the extraordinarily large concentrations of wildlife found along the Zambezi River during the dry season. It is well known for it’s extraordinary game viewing encounters, walking safaris and the unique features that make it a bucket-list destination for all wildlife photographers.
Camp Mana is an environmentally sensitive, old-school seasonal safari camp in Mana Pools. The camp is an extremely comfortable tented camp with sweeping views across the floodplain and great game viewing from within the camp.
In 2024 Camp Mana received the award for “The Best Walking Safari Operator in Africa.”
